About Us
Big Bend Timekeepers is a chapter of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. The chapter was formed in December 1998 by a dozen founding members. Our diverse membership, which includes two NAWCC Fellows, primarily reside in North Central Florida and South Georgia. Some members come from as far as Albany, GA, Panama City, Dowling Park, and Jacksonville, FL.
Our Mission
We strive to provide a forum dedicated to promoting and encouraging the collective interests of horology and all aspects of the art and science of timekeeping.

To advance the future of horology through the collective knowledge of the history, art, and science of timekeeping.

NAWCC FellowMeetings
- FREQUENCY: Five regular meetings per year on the third Saturday of odd numbered months - January, March, May, September, November. See our calendar for upcoming meetings.
- WHERE: Casa Grande Margaritas & Cocina (back room), Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32303
- TIME: 10:00am - 1:00pm
- FEE: Members - $15 (per meeting), Guests - free

Each meeting, which typically includes 25 - 30 members and guests, begins as a casual gathering with a mart where members offer horological items for sale or trade, discuss or show their recent acquisitions, and engage in conversation and fellowship. A formal business meeting comes next and is followed by a lecture from a member or guest on some aspect of horology. Lunch follows the lecture. Guests or persons interested in membership are invited to attend.
- The public is welcome to bring their antique timepieces between 10:00am and 11:00am if they would like us to examine them and offer our opinion of what they have.
- We occasionally offer education classes and in past years we have offered weekend courses in pocket watch repair, time and strike clock repair, reverse painting on glass, and the use of horological tools and methods.
